A walkthrough of the Bull & Bear Market Socks — the basic motif, the cuff text, and what they’re made of.
The basic motif
Two animals, one sock. The bull goes on the toe — the leading foot, the optimist. The bear goes on the heel — the trailing foot, the one watching for danger. When you walk, the bull leads and the bear follows. It’s a small literal joke about market sentiment.
”BUY LOW” and “SELL HIGH”
Look at the cuffs. One sock says “BUY LOW,” the other says “SELL HIGH.” The text is small enough that you can wear them with most pants without anyone seeing — but visible if you cross your legs at a bar.
Why is this clever? It’s the most obvious advice in investing. It’s also the hardest to follow. Every trader in human history has known to buy low and sell high. Most of them don’t. There’s something humbling about wearing the advice on your ankle.
Materials and fit
75% cotton, 21% nylon, 4% Spandex. One size fits most (US 7-13). Crew length.
Machine wash warm. No bleach. Line dry — the dryer dulls the print and shortens the sock over time.
Add a pair to your cart. Wear them on the trading floor or on a Tuesday running errands. They go anywhere.
